Dilution Calculator

Calculate the exact amount of ALPHACYP DIP needed for your dip tank, spray race, or hand spraying operation.

Premixing Step: Always add the measured volume of ALPHACYP DIP to double that volume of water (while stirring) to form a creamy emulsion before adding to the dip tank.

Always confirm dilution rates with the product label.

Directions for Use

1

Shake well before use. Protect from extremes of heat and cold.

2

Premixing (Critical Step): Add a measured volume of concentrate to double that volume of water while stirring to produce a creamy emulsion.

3

Add this premix to the bulk of the water in the dip tank or spray race sump.

4

Agitate to achieve thorough mixing of the dip wash.

5

For hand spraying, thoroughly wet the animal by spraying from below upwards so that the hair is lifted by the spray. Concentrate on the ears, under the tail and in the brush of the tail.

6

It is best to dip calves under three months of age separately from the main herd.

Special Management Guidelines

Calves: Dip calves under 3 months separately from the adult herd. Ideally treat calves after the main group.

Spray Race Best Practice: Do not carry dip wash over from one spraying to the next. Only make sufficient wash for each spraying (±3L per head plus the amount for the pump system).

Dual Chemistry Advantage: The Cymiazol component causes ticks to detach from the host, while Cypermethrin provides rapid knockdown and residual kill. This combination reduces the risk of resistance development.

Rotation Strategy: Alphacyp Dip can be rotated with Alphatraz 250 (amitraz-based) to manage acaricide resistance in tick populations.

Do not mix Alphacyp Dip with any other dip product.

Tick-Borne Disease Immunity

Important Advisory: Effective dipping may in time give rise to very low tick infestations. This could adversely affect immunity to tick-borne diseases, especially in young stock. It is therefore advisable that animals be immunised against tick-borne diseases. If this is not possible, young stock under 4 weeks should not be dipped unless tick infestation is excessive.

Precautions

Once used, the container must be tightly resealed.
Do not reuse the container for any other purpose.
Do not contaminate water sources.
Avoid contact with the dip concentrate. In case of accidental skin contact, remove contaminated clothing and wash thoroughly with soap and water.
Prevent contamination of food, utensils, grazing, drinking water, dams and rivers.
Destroy empty containers by perforating and flattening. Do not reuse for any other purpose.
Wash hands thoroughly after use.

First Aid

In case of accidental skin contact, remove contaminated clothing and wash thoroughly with soap and water. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting — seek medical attention immediately and show this label to the doctor. If inhaled, move to fresh air. If eye contact occurs, rinse with clean water for at least 15 minutes. In all cases of suspected poisoning, consult a doctor immediately.
